Arctic Bus and Electric Hummer: What’s Worth Seeing at MOBILISTIC
MOBILISTIC'18, an innovative, technology festival on mobility and logistics. It will be held from August 29th to September 9th in the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre as a part of the Moscow International Automobile Salon.
The festival is organized by Emin Agalarov, Senior Vice-President of Crocus Group and Georg Redlhammer, the author and conceptual mind behind Mobilistic.
Moscow will host such an event for the first time: this is not exactly an automotive show (although automotive novelties will be demonstrated there). Nor is it an industry-experts conference (although prospects for the development of transport infrastructure will be discussed a lot and at the highest level), nor an innovations forum (although students of the leading higher educational institutions will show their inventions developed together with automotive groups).
Here are several reasons why you should buy a ticket to attend the event.
Get to learn what will your city look like
Several years ago, hitchhiking was regarded as something accepted, and an application determining time until the bus arrived was unimaginable. Now, five in ten people have an Uber or Gettaxi app, while a car sharing service made it possible to drive any, even a first class, car.
The transport sector continues to develop rapidly. At Mobilistic, the experts will tell you: when release of an air taxi can be expected, about manufacturing of urban self-driving vehicles and many other things.
A concept of a two-seat, self-driving vehicle for intercity, passenger transportation will be presented by a Moscow studio LADA Design and students of three higher educational institutes: Moscow Polytechnic University, Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, and Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LAMK). Its design was developed whilst keeping principle trends in mind; therefore, communication between the vehicle and other road users was implemented by means of projection screens, light strips, and other interactive elements.
A graduate of Department of Design of the Moscow Polytechnic University will show a design project for an urban, electric motorcycle - "Lexus Kensaki". It is the developer's opinion that electric motorcycles will be popular in 2050, when cities will be overpopulated, and their residents will have a demand for compact and environmentally-friendly means of transport.
Volgabus will present a new-generation, public transport vehicle: low-floor electric bus CityRhythm 12 ELF, which can take up to 90 people. The time to fully charge the battery is only 6 hours. The driving distance with passengers, as well as having climate control on, is up to 200 to 220 km. This is enough for the bus to continuously operate all day long on the route and return to the storage facility for night charging.
Explore how to protect the environment without becoming a pedestrian
The festival exposition will present various electrical machines and mechanisms - from kickboards and scooters to electric cars, including not only for adults, but also for kids.
Jaguar Land Rover will arrange a separate kids area, and several well-known electric models will be adapted to the youngest visitors of Mobilistic. Adult admirers of the brand will also have a strong reason to visit the stand, since the company will show its new electric off-roader Jaguar I-PACE. The engine's high torque and energy efficiency are critical to dynamics of a real sports car: I-PACE accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h only in 4.8 s.
The car is driven by two electric motors. Its owners will be able to charge it from zero to 80% only in 40 minutes, thanks to a quick charge via a 100 kW point. Home charging via an AC point (7 kW) will deliver the same result in a little more than 10 hours, so you can plug the car in for the night and get a ready-to-work battery by morning.
BMW Group will bring a highly advanced, convertible BMW i8 Roadster with a smart, energy control system at Mobilistic. It coordinates the interaction between electric motor and battery with internal combustion engine to provide maximum power at minimum fuel and energy consumption.
BMW took care of maintenance of the new car as well developed the navigation service "BMW ConnectedDrive". You can use a mobile app to, not only to find the least-energy demand path, but also to obtain the required information about the car state.
The car dealer "ElectroDrive" will demonstrate the first ever fully electric, off-the-road vehicle Tesla - Model X 2017-2018.
ROMANOV motors will present a legendary off-roader Hummer, which developers abandoned the gasoline engine in favor of the electric motor.

Some exhibit items are kept a secret even for the event managers. So, Volgabus announced presentation of the cross-country passenger and cargo "Arctic Bus". Currently, it is in production to be the only one of its kind.
Listen to the icon of the childhood
The Festival will be opened by the famous Hollywood actor "Steven Seagal", who recently has been appointed as a special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for Russian-U.S. humanitarian relations. The actor will hold a speech on economic and ecological development in mobility and infrastructure.
