Opening of MOBILISTIC’18, an Innovative Technology Festival, in Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre in Moscow
On August 29, a press conference dedicated to MOBILISTIC'18, the first European Innovative Technology Festival, which will be held from August 29 to September 09, 2018 as a part of the Moscow International Automobile Salon, took place in Crocus Expo.
Crocus Group will present an overview of the innovative projects that rapidly change our life, such as electric cars, autonomous driving, alternative fuel, transport infrastructure, and smart cities, at the festival.
Bringing a focus on electro mobility, Crocus Group initiates a movement towards sustained development of technologies of the future, with the support of the United Nations, beginning of an official cooperation with which was announced at the press conference.
The following officials participated in the press conference: Emin Agalarov, Senior Vice-President of Crocus Group and the founder of MOBILISTIC, Georg Redlhammer, the author and conceptual mind behind MOBILISTIC, Kari Aina Eik, General Secretary of Organization for International Economic Relations, Thomas Staertzel, CEO of Porshe Russland, and Vyacheslav Kuzyakov, General Director of Jaguar Land Rover Russia.
Steven Seagal, the festival ambassador and an environment protection activist, who recently has been appointed as a special envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for Russian-U.S. humanitarian relations, delivered a welcome speech: "We must take care of our planet. The human race has knowledge and possesses the resources required to ensure environmentally-friendly and sustained mobility. All we need to do is just to switch a trigger in our way of thinking and become open to the solution. It is my privilege to support Crocus Group in its efforts to change Russia for the better."
Emin Agalarov admitted his excitement about innovative solutions on mobility and transport. That's exactly why he had made up his mind to establish MOBILISTIC: "Crocus Group's motto is Developing the Future. It is no wonder that it was Crocus City where an idea of MOBILISTIC leaped into my mind. Over recent years, our "city" has grown a lot. We intend to build skyscrapers and create such an environment that will be life- and work-friendly. We also will be required to offer smart transport solutions in Crocus City. MOBILISTIC will tell people about the innovative technologies that are already in the market and those that will appear in future".
Georg Redlhammer, the conceptual mind behind MOBILISTIC, explains: "We would like to give people a holistic view of the future, show the mobility technologies designed for people and goods, and get people thinking about use of alternative engines for transport. Electric cars are already a part of our reality. Yet, mobility of the future is much larger and brighter! We live in the era of evolution developing into revolution. And we intend to demonstrate it here, at MOBILISTIC."
Kari Aina Eik, General Secretary of Organization for International Economic Relations introduced an UN program "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) at the press conference, where benchmarks for international cooperation till the year of 2030 are formed.
This refers to seventeen interconnected global goals that ensure balance between three components of sustained development of the countries: economic, social, and ecological.
At the press conference, Ms. Eik and Mr. Agalarov made a joint statement confirming that Crocus Group becomes a key Russian partner of the SDGs Program. An agreement was signed at the stage of MOBILISTIC, under which Crocus City will be one of five "cities of the future" included in the SDGs Program, which will help Russia and Crocus Group, in particular, to actively promote principles of global innovative development under the auspices of the United Nations.
In the first place, Crocus City will be focused on implementation of energy-saving technologies, development of electric transport, and a program for environment-related education of children.
Among the car brands that announced their participation in MOBILISTIC are Porsche, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Volgabus, as well as such electric car dealers as ElectroDrive and Romanov Motors.
Porsche presented its concept car Porsche Mission E and a line novelty - Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. Display of the company is based on innovative technologies in communication and various types of mobility and vehicle communication with augmented reality elements and interactive modules. Moreover, on the day of its 70th anniversary, Porsche announced name of the serial model based on the presented concept: Taycan. Launch of production of the new Porsche Taycan is scheduled for the end of 2019.
Jaguar Land Rover brought its new electric off-roader Jaguar I-PACE. High torque and energy efficiency of the engine are critical to dynamics of a real sports car: I-PACE accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h only in 4.8 s.
The car is driven by two electric motors. Its owners will be able to charge it from zero to 80% only in 40 minutes, thanks to a quick charge via a 100 kW point. Home charging via an AC point (7 kW) will deliver the same result in a little more than 10 hours, so you can plug the car in for the night and get a ready-to-work battery by morning.
The company also introduced its interactive education school for young road-users Jaguar Land Rover Driving School, which won't leave any kid indifferent.
BMW brought a highly advanced convertible BMW i8 Roadster with smart energy control system at MOBILISTIC. It coordinates interaction of electric motor and battery with internal combustion engine to provide maximum power at minimum fuel and energy consumption.
BMW took care of maintenance of the new car as well and developed navigation services BMW ConnectedDrive. You can use a mobile app not only to find the least-energy demand path, but also to obtain the required information about the car state.
Volgabus presented a new-generation public transport vehicle: low-floor electric bus CityRhythm 12 ELF, as well as the first self-driving modular bus MatrЁshka.
CityRhythm 12 ELF can take up to 90 people. Its time to full battery charge is only 6 hours, driving distance with passengers and climate control on is as many as 200 to 220 km. This is enough for the bus to work out all day long on the route and return to the storage facility for night charging.
Self-driving bus MatrЁshka is electrically driven (powered from a LiFePO4-battery of 32 kW*h) and has average speed of 30 km/h. Its battery needs only 4 hours to charge to the full, and its capacity is enough for 130 km.
In total, there are three configurations in a design version range of the modular bus MatrЁshka: open cargo platforms for various logistics applications M2 PLATFORM, special-purpose mobile complexes M2С6 (serving as fire-fighting trucks, medical units, energy accumulators, public utility vehicles, etc.), and passenger smart buses M2B8. One design version can be easily transformed into another only by replacing a module, which takes as little as 15 minutes.
The last series is considered to have the spacious superstructure, since it can find room for 8 to 12 people in the compartment.
Moscow studio LADA Design and students of three higher educational institutes, i.e. Moscow Polytechnic University, Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, and Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LAMK), presented a concept of two-seat self-driving vehicle for intercity passenger transportation. Its design was developed keeping principle trends in mind; so, communication between the vehicle and other road users was implemented by means of projection screens, light strips, and other interactive elements.
A graduate of Department of Design of the Moscow Polytechnic University showed a design project for an urban electric motorcycle Lexus Kensaki. It is the developer's opinion that an electric motorcycle will be popular in 2050, when cities will be overpopulated, and their residents will have a demand for compact and environmentally-friendly means of transport.
Car dealer ElectroDrive demonstrated the first ever fully electric off-the-road vehicle Tesla - Model X 2017-2018.
ROMANOV motors presented the fastest electric motorcycle Zero SR, electric retro- and golf-cars, premium electric bike GRACE, and an eco-bench for metropolitan cities with an integrated USB-charger.
Moreover, within the framework of MOBILISTIC, the guests will have an opportunity to test an innovative virtual cycling training system VirZoom by Life Fitness. Now, each cycle ride will take its course in a new place - distances completely disappear, thanks to virtual reality technologies!
